The Infamous Masterson’s , positioned in the vibrant core of Moonee Ponds, advertises itself as a stylish, alternative venue , but my latest trip at this establishment quickly devolved into an unforgettable, terrible experience. While the bar may seem appealing from the exterior , what I discovered behind its entrance was disgraceful and unfit for any venue.
The State of Affairs: Squalid and Neglected Beyond Belief

The surfaces were tacky , and a foul smell of uncleaned spills and dirty bathrooms suffused the entire venue . Smelling a mixture of excrement , decay and sickness . The toilet was in even more deplorable shape —overflowing , with a snapped lever and walls covered in what I can only assume was fecal matter .

Going through other patrons’ reviews and chatting with the community, it seems that the level of hygiene (or lack thereof) at this so-called establishment is a well-known flaw . Many patrons have reported witnessing insects darting across the bar area and traces of mice in the bar and house area . For a business that offers beverages , these issues are entirely inappropriate and raise serious concerns about the here safety of the food and drinks .

His presence at the bar often resembled that of a lurking threat than a genial proprietor .
